This is an older, but excellent ship platform and with the recent intel revamp, one of the best anti-stealth ships available. It's combined Intel and Pilot seating gives it excellent versatility, though it lacks the punch of a 5/2 layout ship. It makes up for this with a high hull capacity and a hangar bay.
I've always loved this ship, and it has a great aesthetic. I wanted to make an effective build and even lacking that fifth forward weapon slot, I find it does plenty of damage in the right hands and is quite fun to fly, and the seating arrangement allows for a wide range of customization to the build.
Hangar pets are always tough on builds that don't focus on them, and in this case a single hangar of fighters generally doesn't last long especially against teams with a lot of AoE. However, pets like the Elite Orion Interceptors can prove to be a nice advantage, even if they are just being launched over and over again into their doom - the occasional tractor, chroniton torpedo, or power drain beam can give this ship the edge in a fight.
This ship also comes with a useful console, "Fleet Maneuver Gamma." This console gives the entire team bonus damage and a boost to flight speed and turn, as well as making them immune to placates and movement impairing effects. The only disappointment is that the immunity to placate only applies to Pseudo Submission and Jam Sensors - not the ever popular Aux2Sif placate. Still, it benefits the whole team at any range so it can be used at opportune moments to help everyone out.
